Completely obsessed, as if that weren't obvious enough!!

Hello, darlings. Thanks so much for sticking around even with the company of the crickets lately. Shame on me for not posting in so long. I've been busy at work between packaging, production and wrangling of my line, not to mention the OTHER jobs I have. On the bright side, I see folks like this who make a habit of killing themselves for their art and I'm inspired to keep going. SO here's the latest obsessions I've been dealing with for a few weeks.

First, Jared Padaleki, who plays the younger Winchester brother on my beloved show needed some personal time. They are tireless workers. Seasons of this show are really long (Usually more than 20 episodes.) they spend the better part of year filming, and then there's the Conventions and fan meet and greet kind of stuff, parties and galas famous people are expected to attend and -oh yeah- they're spouses and parents, too. They have a lot on their plates. And I really feel for them. As someone who has always had some help getting along in life, I understand it's hard when you need to be so responsible and sometimes you don't know how. I understand that depression, and Jared just needed a break. There were some vicious rumors floating around about him, but none of them turned out to be correct; he was just exhausted.

I sort of waited on pins and needles, as I feel oddly protective of- really the whole cast of the show. But when it came to my attention that some people are more harsh on Sam (his character) and Jared himself than most other main characters from the show, I started to become far more protective of him. Silly, misguided beings, but it happens. So when he reappeared on social media and there appeared to be nothing really wrong, I was so relieved. I know she didn't especially care, but I gave my Mum a play-by-play of everything I had read about him and told her my concerns about him because of the Always Keep Fighting cause and his previous depressions.

Because of the time he needed (and I'm glad he took), he missed getting to share the last episode of the show with the fans, which was kind of sad. It must have been tough choice, but he did- not resurfacing for a few weeks and cancelling a few Cons because he needed his family, which is so adorable. But I'm happy he's back and everything is back in full swing again.

So, the day after the season finale of Supernatural aired, this video premiered, and I caught wind of it a day later. Since then, I have watched the Hillywood Productions Supernatural Parody so many times at night while I'm working, and during lunch, and sometime son my way to or from work, that I have lost count of how many times I've seen it.

This is just the beginning of the silliness this parody has been responsible for. They re-did the season promotional picture. On top, the regular cast (R- Mark Sheppard, Jared Padaleki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins) and below, the fan version for the parody. (R- Adam Stucky, Osric Chau, HIlly Hindi, Hannah Hindi.)

Here are some of the pictures. This video is officially chronicling one specific story line from the ninth and tenth seasons of the show, but they also went back got some elements, some that are repeated, like Dean and his cheeseburger, and some are more specifically only done once, like the gym scene in the following pictures.

Starting at the top, Hilly Hindi is recreating the epic dodge ball scene from an earlier season but instead of high school students, her Dean is pelting Cas from among the other angels. The next picture down is from Yellow Fever, a extra video they included of Jensen (not Dean, notably, as you can hear the production team and Jared cracking up off-camera) performing a dance to Eye of the Tiger. A really fantastic video, if you haven't seen it, you will laugh until you cry. Back to, it, the next image is Dean in the library at the Men of Letters Bunker (or Batcave, as I like to call it.) watching his/her hand shake. Next is Dean going overboard killing Abaddon, which was why he got the mark in the first place. The next is Dean deciding he's sick of Crowley, the King of Hell, asking him to help him rule and basically plot to take down the world. This would be when Dean politely says no by knocking Crowley on his ass. The next picture is I think supposed to be when Dean is confronted by Cole, a guy whose dad was killed by Dean years ago and basically thinks he can get revenge against Dean. It didn't work out well for him. The next picture is Dean and Cain in Executioner's Song, when Dean is about to destroy Cain. The next picture is of Dean, assuring Sam and Cas in the aftermath of the battle against Cain that he's perfectly fine, but going to sleep for a week. They both know he's lying. Next is Dean leaning into the trunk to get something from the massive trunk of the impala. The next one is a fan suggestion from the internet that found its way to the boys and obviously HIlly; using salt in Hula Hoops to keep demons away. The boys acted as if this was news to them when they were here in Phoenix, but that's a picture from our Con in February. (I saw that live and it was hysterical!!) And Hilly imitating him. The next three are more from the Eye of the Tiger on Yellow Fever.

More of the comparions: Sam holding Dean while he dies (but he doesn't really), DEan doing kareoke after he's ressurected again, Dean having to kill a group of people who were going to kill him and him lying to Sam and Cas after killing Cain.

And more: Dean with the group of bodies again. They were going to kill him, to be fair. Crowley holding the First Blade, getting ready to help him resurect after being killed earlier in the episode. Sam catches his demon brother and is trying to bring him back to humanity through a purified blood ritual, my favorite- and a nail-biting- episode. And Dean lying again about being okay after killing Cain.

The best part is at the end the cameos of characters from the various seasons who still attend the Conventions, even though they may have been dead for seasons.
Top left to right: Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester), Jared Padaleki (Sam WInchester), Misha Collins (Cas).
Middle row: Matt Cohen (Young John Winchester), Tyler Johnston (Samandriel), Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester), Rob Benedict (Chuck), Lauren Tom (Linda Tran), and Osric Chau (Kevin Tran).
Bottom row: Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer), Richard Speight, Jr. (Gabriel), Timothy Omundson (Cain), Gil McKinney (Henry Winchester), and Tahmoh Penikett (Gadriel).

I do love this cast. I can watch this video over and over and still laugh. And I have been!! So if you're a fan and would like to watch it, you really should. If you don't, you really should.
